Dear Colorado Client, This is an unfriendly reminder that Rule 341 goes into effect on November 2nd with respect to ensuring plumbing for monitoring surface casing pressure and all intermediate string pressures is in place. The text of the reminder from the COGCC today reads, “Rule 341 requires the Operator to equip bradenhead access on all wells, regardless of function and to allow COGCC staff to visually inspect the equipment at all times. This may require the Operator to retrofit existing wells. Rule 341 expands its bradenhead monitoring requirements to apply statewide, adopt more specific protocols and pressure thresholds for bradenhead pressure testing, require additional tests and periodic monitoring, and improve reporting. This bradenhead monitoring, testing and reporting rule is intended to ensure that COGCC has adequate information about wellbore integrity. Rule 341 applies to all wells statewide except coalbed methane wells, an Operator of coalbed methane wells will complete [...]
While the impact of the government’s response to COVID-19 on the oil and gas industry was profound, IPT rose to the occasion and funded the production of PPE to aid workers at the front line. To date, IPT has contributed to produce over 4,000 3D-printed mask strap extenders to hospitals, clinics, and essential businesses using a battery of 3D printers purchased for this purpose. These simple plastic parts take pressure off worker’s ears while using surgical masks. Surgical masks were not designed for extended use and result in discomfort and injury when worn for many hours during the shift. Some users experience skin rubbed raw and bleeding from long-term use. Our process of producing these straps involves printing a clinically-approved strap extender from the National Institutes of Health. Over the course of two weeks, the printing process was optimized to produce functional pieces at the fastest rate possible. [...]

The Bakken & Three Forks Completions and Well Spacing Congress was held May 28 - 29, 2014 in Denver, Colorado and IPT was on hand, serving as a corporate sponsor of the event as well as presenting valuable information related to well completions optimization. The two-day event, organized by American Business Conferences, featured technical case studies and discussions led by industry professionals from major E&P companies actively operating in the Bakken and Three Forks shale plays. Day 1 offered result-driven conclusions on the optimum frac design, frac type, frac fluid, proppant type, liner and number of frac stages in different areas of the Bakken and Three Forks. Day 2 addressed optimal well density in a given spacing unit, well interference and extension into the deeper benches of the Three Forks to maximize reservoir exploitation and hydrocarbon recovery. Todd Poulson, President Field Operations and Services for IPT, was among the Day [...]
